Family Matters Project
Family Matters is a project which aims to help people across the Black Country build their skills and confidence to get into work and is part of the Building Better Opportunities programme.
The Building Better Opportunities programme is funded by the European Social Fund and Big Lottery Fund who are co-investing in local projects tackling the causes of unemployment.
Family Matters is one of four projects within this programme across the Black Country and will help people across Walsall, Wolverhampton, Dudley and Sandwell move into or closer to employment by developing their skills and confidence.
Family Matters is managed by the Black Country Together CIC in partnership with 19 local organisations across the Black Country. We will be working alongside the following partners to deliver the project;
Aspiring Futures CIC, Barnardo's, Bloxwich Community Partnership, CHADD, Changing Lives, Community Footprints, Family Action, Gazebo Theatre in Education, Gloucester Street Community Centre, Groundwork West Midlands, Lunch on the Run, Manor Farm Community Association, Phase Trust, Sandwell Consortium, Trident Reach, Walsall Citizens Advice Bureau, University of Wolverhampton, Black Country YMCA.
Citizens Advice Walsall will support participants through advice work and in turn remove barriers which may be preventing people engage in employment.
