Volunteering
for Walsall CAB
Every Citizens Advice Bureau
is a registered charity and over 20,000 (80% nationally) of the people working in Bureau
are trained volunteers, all from different backgrounds with different skills.
They perform a variety of roles from giving advice to IT, administration, and
managing the work of the Bureau as Trustee Board members.
Advisers
Our trained volunteer advisers help us meet the demand for advice. All
advisers are given free formal and on the job training. You are supported

at Walsall CAB you would help to ensure the smooth running of the Bureau
duties will include:
- word
processing
- using
databases and spreadsheets
- updating
local information
- answering
phone calls
Receptionists
You would be the public face
of the Bureau, meeting clients on a daily basis:
- greet
clients
- arrange
appointments
- answer
the telephone
- provide
information on service to clients
- manage
the waiting room
- keep
records
Trustees

registered charity it has its own board of trustees, and we welcome people of
all ages, backgrounds and experience. Meetings take on a quarterly basis
around 6.00pm with additional meetings for the Executive Committee in between
full board meetings. Trustee Board members:
